Bios of JAH say that he was born at 63 Micklegate York (now 114 micklegate) and there is a blue plaque on this property.
However i cannot find a definitive source to verify this birthplace. Does anyone know the source?

Have you looked for 114 Micklegate on Google earth, you should be able to see any blue plaque

When was he born?  The only birth for that name is 1883 Kensington London

EDIT

Born 1803 - invented the Hansom Cab

He was born in York 1803 (bapt Catholic); the plaque does exist and the birthdate is correct.
I am questioning how someone knew that he was born in that house. What is the source doc that verifies this.

Perhaps you really need to direct that question to whoever has written the various bios - they are the ones who have accessed the documentation.

Are you a descendant?

What information does the baptism give

ADDED  Have you checked local records for that period for occupants of properties

There are multiple sources copying this info and i am starting to working back to find the earliest source but the person writing the first mention will have died so this may be an impossible task.
I am not a relative but trying to write a definitive article about a relative of JAH.
