Death Records
« on: Monday 30 November 20 17:28 GMT (UK) »
John Henry Dove m Florence Ada Boardman, September 1913 in Birmingham.  John was born c.1888 in Hartlepool, Co Durham.   Florence was born c. 1891 in Burslem.

I'm trying to find death records for John and Florence - help please.   Furthermore, family stories suggest after Florence's death, John married again.

Grateful for help

Have you checked freebmd for a remarriage between 1959-1967?

John was around 70 when Florence died so unless he remarried outside of Warwickshire - nothing showing

A copy of his death cert should show his marital status at that time

Family stories, a great source for research,  are handed down through the ages.  The 'source' for the posting  I raised in no longer with us and I believe there is some confusion in whether the later marriage was in the paternal or maternal line.

I tried the probate registry without success.

Many thanks for your help and  support.

I think Florence and John that are mentioned above are buried at Yardley Cemetery

If you search this site they are on there, but the site does not give middle names

But family stories are not always correct.

My Wife’s Grandmother thought the family originated in Roscommon in Ireland.

All our research shows that this is not the case, substantiated by DNA Matches generation prior confirm her line is as per her tree ie Mancunian for over 400 years.

Great Great Grandfather married a Widow who was married to an Irish guy and had a Daughter by her first Husband. This is the nearest we found to Irish ancestry.

The fact they lived close by Little Ireland in Manchester no doubt fuelled the stories.
