John William Lockwood 1876 - 1950. Trying to trace his parents
« on: Monday 07 December 20 18:39 GMT (UK) »
Need some assistance on this one

What I know

John Wm Lockwood married Eliza Ann Turner, Bramley, 1895. 1901 & 1911 Census records give his birth as Dewsbury, 1876. From the GRO, there are a few that fit the bill. I have elliminated most of them except one with no MMN. D Quarter 1876, Dewsbury.

Some help please.

There were 2 reg in Dewsbury. The 1874 one passed in 1894. I am sure the 1876 one that passed in 1950 is the one I am looking for his parents

If he died in 1950, what is his date of birth on the 1939 register?

the one who died in 1894 was buried in Mirfield and was the son of Joseph, railway guard.

John William, son of Herbert Lockwood, married Florence Emma Smith 16 Sept 1899.

A plain John who died in 1940 was the son of Amos Lockwood, signalman,

ok, found the image of that baptism. Think the surname should be Bryan, father noted as miner, address West Town. Date of birth noted as 16 Dec 1876.

Possible census, but no John William.   :-\
