Barracks in Sussex WW1
« on: Wednesday 09 December 20 04:12 GMT (UK) »
I am researching a great-uncle, Ralph Begbie Hadfield, and from a letter contained within his Australian WW! records, he was an instructor at what looks like Delenticu Barracks in Surrey.  Of course, that name may not be correct, but may be close. I cannot locate anything similar.
Would some very knowledgeable person be able to assist in this name.
I have attached a copy of a portion of the letter to assist.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you to ev and ShaunJ for your responses. I think you have fixed my problem, and I think it is Detention Barracks. That article ShaunJ provides me with some great information, and enough facts to match with the information I already have. Thank you again for your great assistance.
