Afternoon all,

I'm having trouble working out part of the entry for the birth of Margaret Cowie, parents John and Elizabeth. I can see:

"John Cowie and Elizabeth Paterson in [...] had a lawful daughter, baptised before the congregation called Margaret"

It's the second entry from bottom on the right. I'm assuming the bit I can't read is where they lived - can anyone work it out? The record is from Alloa, Clackmannan in Scotland.

I've been going through old maps of the area looking for placenames that look similar, but coming up dry. Really appreciate any suggestions people can throw my way!
