Gosh, no heating on top of all that is already going in.
So glad things are back to normal.
Well more areas including our’s N.W.in tier 4.

I hope people are not worrying unduly about being down, this time of year and the few light hours , we get very little —- is it Solenium?

Which contributes to our well being and overall mood.
I don’t think I have known such dark gloomy days .
I asked the Chemist , when they phoned re my repeat prescriptions, to include some Vitamin D, but they said have a multi vitamin it is better .
So although prescription not due for some.  they came today with the vitamins.
I had money wrapped in a sanitised wipe for them.
How kind and what service.

PM on TV.
Optimistic, no doubt due to vaccine availability.
Not got my new date yet.
High Schools not going back.

The graphs etc in TV are once again very difficult to work out but I have a modest sized TV.Don’t like great big ones dominating the room.
78% of population in Tier 4 now,and Christmas figures not yet reflected in the graphs.
Dire warnings about New Year  socialising !
Will THEY listen and pay heed ?
Anyone fancy running a book on it?

So my decision to stay put again is OK by me ,heartfelt feelings for those disappointed ,but stay safe and you may be able to celebrate in the not too distant future .
Hope everyone is in better spirits soon, we are Trojan’s, we can carry on.
We are not in a refugee camp, we are not in a war zone, we have medical facilities even though they are stretched. We have food and water, and most are warm.
So I am thinking about those wherever they are who are not so lucky ,
wouldn’t ‘t they like to swap places !
I am not going to die yet ,because I want a nice funeral with some extracts from The Goon Show,The Dubliners , The recording of my son aged eight singing The Little Drummer Boy ,my one and a half year old daughter singing, yes singing “ Camp” ,Children from school singing and gathering speed as the camels race  at an alarming rate to Bethlehem!
“ See him lying in a bed  of straw”—- The Stones ,and The hymn “ And  can  it be that I should gain “—- top tenors and all.
Lots of laughs and  I want  to be there !
I might arrange to have it before I die ,then I can control it ,I don’t like the idea of not being in control!
Jokes, and funny happenings that have punctuated my life .
And at the last minute I will sit up and shout “ I have changed my mind!”

 ::) ::) ::)
Viktoria.

I want some of whatever Viktoria puts in her drink each day.  However she is feeling she is always cheerful on here though she probably has more reason than most of us to complain with regards to not seeing her family. She certainly makes me smile a lot  :)

Just to explain It’s a gas boiler that heats the water that circulates round the pipes linking the radiators. It also instantly heats the hot water when you turn on the hot tap. When the boiler was turned off nothing circulated and there was no hot water. However what the engineer did today is as long as the boiler is switched on there is heating. I will have to physically turn it off tonight and on in the morning but I’ll have hot water. I hope that makes sense.

Yes, thank you for the explanation, Gibel.  A good explanation, for someone who is not very technical/mechanical (me, not you!).

Well Luke Kelly was something else.
On Raglan Road.
I know my love.
I’ve been a wild rover.
The black velvet band .
But not Seven  drunken nights! :oThat is naughty.
The bonny shoals of herring .
Mursheen Durkin.
Goodbye to Carlingford.
The travelling people .
Dirty old town.
She moved through the fair ?Not sure if they recorded that.
Oh so many, there are others but they did not sing quite a few ,(the ones  that  might be termed rebel or protest songs )outside of Ireland ,on their foreign tours etc.
Luke died from a brain tumour only in his forties, he never took the place he had at Prague University.

Not sure which Goon Show, maybe the one where  either  Grippe Tite Thynne
or Colonel Bloodknock is sending off for naughty photographs to be delivered in a plain brown envelope ,he will pay with a photograph of a five pound
note .
Or the one where they have plans for a graving dock in the Sahara desert ,funded by a loan from  The  First National Bank of Jerusalem ,” No mean feat in itself !” The commentator said .
Jokes, oh well ,
I saw a man the other day ,pulling a piece of string as he came round a corner.
I wondered what was on the end— a dog ?
But when the end of the string appeared there was nothing tied to it, I had to ask the man why was he pulling the string .?
“ Have you ever tried pushing string ?” Was his reply .

A woman came to the door a few weeks ago .
“ Good evening ,I am collecting for our local swimming baths ,would you be willing to contribute?”
Oh ,yes, just a minute I replied ,and went inside ,I came out again and said “ There you are ,bring the bucket back when you have emptied it!”

There is a recording of my daughter playing Brahm’s Lullabye on her recorder ,it will bring tears to your eyes ,but I don’t know how to send it to RootsChat only as an email to friends .
Well that is enough to be going on with
Goodnight
Viktoria .
