Just to save helpers from repeat searching for information already held, here are some of Cathy_Aus previous threads on the subject of this couple.

Some answers found, some questions remaining.

Not any help but a few observations.

1. I think the London next to John Hare's name just means that is where he got on board ship, rather than at Plymouth.

2. My stepmother has HARE ancestry who arrived in NZ at a similar time. They are sometimes spelt HAIR.  Her man was born in Armagh, Ireland, but married in Scotland before coming to NZ.

3. I do not see Clarissa STONE on any of the lists relating to the Bussorah Merchant.  Where is your information about that from?  Also, apparently there is no existing original passenger list, so where does the information that her name had J. Hare next to it come from?

4.
Also when and where did John Hare die, and what is on his death certificate?
I don't see that information on the previous posts. Hope I haven't missed it :)  ;)

There was a John Hare Born in 1817 In London With Parents Charles Hare and Katherine Coulter Lock   Katherines Parents I think were Peter Lock and Sarah Game

You said that you had eliminated him?
In Lambeth in 1851, John Hare, age 32, a moulder, with mother Catherine, 62, and younger brother Charles, 17.

Baptism in Lambeth, 25 Dec 1833
Charles, son of Charles + Catherine Hare. Father an Iron founder.

There is a sawyer in the 1841 census, but a couple of years older
John Hare, 22, Sawyer, in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire.
piece 45 book 10 folio 9 page 14

Seems to be son of John and Martha, and was baptized at Beaconsfield, 3 January 1819

Not sure what happened to him at the moment, but there are a few John Hares about!
