Thomas Lloyd born 1819 cardigan
« on: Saturday 02 January 21 17:45 GMT (UK) »
Hello I am researching the Lloyds.
Thomas was born in 1819, he was a schoolmaster at a navigation school and was a Master of a Barque. He died in 1864 and is buried at Henfynyw. According to his marriage certificate, his father is Thomas Lloyd.... Gentleman.
Who is he? I would love to find Thomas the Gent?
Does anyone have local historical info not online?
Thanks

I can now see them in 1851 - he married Jane Caleb but does not appear anywhere on census with Jane and the children, how do you know that he was born in Cardigan.

Don't think the op mentions a birth in Cardigan or Cardiganshire but the Welsh mariner's index gives Cardigan as his place of birth.

Possible baptism 3 April 1819 in Llandysiliogogo for Thomas, bastard son of Thomas Loyd, gent, and Sara Jenkin, servant. The abodes are rather faded. I'll see what I can find.

forgot the death notice, name of the barque matches the one mentioned on Welsh Mariners Index

Where do you have Thomas bn 1819 on census in 1851.

Who did he marry and when, who were the witnesses

Unfortunately he was not on any census record as he was at sea
The witnesses on the marriage are not Thomas
