Hi

I found samuel bond Baptism record 4/2/1827 in Plymouth Devon England

His parents are shown as

John bond and grace
John is stated as being a mariner

Could anybody please help me to identify grace )) ( her maiden name  )

When they were both born and where

Where they were married

Any information welcome

Long shot but you can look to see if Samuel had younger siblings - if you can find one born c1837 or after you can look up the birth registration to find maiden name for Grace.

Is he home with family in 1841?

Did you check FS for other births to same parents?

3 other births - 1816/1819/1823 - helps narrow down a marriage date

I have found three other children born to john and grace

But still can't find a marriage

One of the children was named

William james lipstone bond  ??

Is that the clue to graces name ??

Children all baptised in Plymouth Devon England

I have a Richard Bond b1784 and his son Alexander Bond b1801 both in Devon, not sure if there is a link there?

Alexander's daughter is my 4th great-grandmother

Nothing about John being a Mariner

Fathers occp in brackets;

WILLIAM JAMES PAUL 16 Nov 1823 (Mason)
SAMUEL 04 Feb 1827 (Private Royal Marines)

I have found a John who is a Mariner;

He married Grace PINCH 18 May 1812 Bodmin, Cornwall
Only 1 child I can find Bapt Cornwall;
GRACE 31 Jan 1815, Father a Mariner, abode Flushing

On his Baptism record states john as a mariner

This possibility could be the breakthrough

All samuel Saunders siblings born in Plymouth Devon England

I think its back to the drawing board with the John bond and grace pinch marriage unfortunately

The trees if they are correct doesn't lend itself to the Baptism records that i have researched

Do you mean Samuel Bond ?

His 1827 Bapt is on Familysearch (actual image) Parents John/Grace.
Abode Stonehouse
Fathers occp Private Royal Marines****

Do you have Samuels Marriage Cert if you are descended from him?

Is that where you got his Father is a Mariner from?

All the other childrens bapts have him as a Mason.
