French document 1795
« on: Sunday 10 January 21 19:23 GMT (UK) »
Hi, is there any kind person, who could take a look at a French document dating back to 1795, I only have a photograph of the document as it was taken from the Departmental archives. It is a will/succession document written by French Notaire.

Hi Sarah
Thank you very much for allowing me to post on this Forum.

I do find the topics discussed on this site very interesting and informative.

I will prepare a sample of my document in question and upload it for your members to view.

Thanks again.

Hi, Here is a sample of our French document dated 1795.
It refers to a Partage (division) of a property we have in France.
The document was quite difficult to find, as it was written during the French revolution, and so were using the French republican calendar at the time.
I am sorry if the quality is not brilliant, but we were only allowed to take photographs at the archives, and the document in full is 60 pages. Therefore I have posted only a sample, but would very much like to know other sections of the document if possible later.
Thanks
Regards Marcus

Hi,
Couldn't read it all I'm afraid, but here's what I was able to pick out ...maybe others can add ;)

The English:
To which .... only first lot is made up of the house or ....... fireplace, and attic ....., with a cellar and bedroom. [After?] the ..... cellar the ..... a .....alignment with partial ....shelves in front of ....Buildings, the other part of the shelves will be used in the second lot.

Very more or less, and stands to be improved, but hopefully it will mean something to you.

Hi, Thanks for the reply.

Is there anyone that might be interested in scanning over this document, to see if there was anything derogatory within it regarding the access, and use of the parcels, when the Partage (division) was made.
I would need to pm the member, as the document is zipped to 10.2 MB and is 60 pages. But only the first part of the document is relevant to our building. so not all would need to be read.

Thanks..Marcus
