Morrisons & Sainsbury ban shoppers without face masks

Surely if supermarkets was an issue then all the staff would be going down like flies.
I have seen only one report of an outbreak in a supermarket.

Boris has made it clear, it’s socialising that spreads it. Do not chat.  Do not chat on the doorstep, you may walk with one person but you may not socialise with that person.

Everyone will get a jab locally says Matt Hancock, nobody will have to travel more than ten miles, so ten miles is considered local.

It is if you live in the back end of nowhere Mike. 
Our old surgery was 7 miles away, if you lived in one of the outlying villages you could easily be travelling 10 miles.

I do live in the back of nowhere, we are 20 miles from our local GP hub, 10 miles from a shop

The main problem with the exemption rule is proof. If someone says they are exempt you have to accept that.

Robson Green has just gone public about panic attacks caused by him wearing a mask when filming on set. I can't understand the logic as he says it was because he couldn't see the reactions of others behind THEIR masks. So I'm curious as to how removing HIS mask makes a difference?  The make up girls must live in fear when he rolls up for a quick brush over and heaven help any actress who has to do a kissing scene with him. Yeah Robson, tell me how you can see her face when you're locking lips.

I have just got back from Marks and Sparks where I got some food.
The shopper behind had no mask, and had a child who got out of the buggy and was running around everywhere touching everything.
I made a quick exit to get away from them.
Made me so cross.

I really can’t understand why so many people find it so difficult to wear a mask for the short time they are shopping or as someone else said there are visors available if you have problems. I think we should all be thanking all shop staff who are working very hard at a difficult time to make sure we can buy our groceries etc.

Although I haven't been shopping I'm very grateful to the staff of the shops for their hard work and to the delivery drivers who bring my groceries to me. And to the delivery drivers who bring all the other things I order online, and ...... I could go on but I'm sure you get the picture!

Although face screens provide the wearer some protection they are virtually useless at preventing the wearer spreading the virus.

I see today that frontline health workers are asking for full surgical masks as ordinary masks offer no protection from droplet spreads.

News from Italy and Switzerland suggest we should all avoid apre ski parties.

Masks were mandated here last summer to be worn indoors in public places, e.g. stores.  I have not seen anyone here since then in a store without a mask, customer or clerk.  Haven’t seen any displays of anger or lack of co-operative behaviour.  We must be the most compliant people in the world (yes, there have been incidents, and some anti-maskers demonstrating, I just haven’t seen any).
My husband also has mild asthma but he always wears one in a store, etc.  My glasses fog up too, and I can’t see without them, but I manage.
There was an outbreak of 3 cases recently where we do our grocery order and pickup.

It is surprising how quickly the wearing of the mask becomes a way of life.
In Victoria where I am the government mandated masks indoors and out at the beginning of our hard lockdown.

You just were not allowed in any indoor venue without it;
Since that time, about 3 months ago, there have been tweaks and small changes to the requirement according to "flare-ups" of virus.

Basically now we wear a mask inside a shop/supermarket and keep a good distance from others, but may be outside without one though  many people choose to  mask up wherever they go.

Specs fog and all, it is worth it.

So...keys, wallet, purse, mask, off to the shops!

I was wearing a Surgical Mask here a month before they were required by Law and pleased Diane your hubby is trying a preventative step.

I thought everyone in the UK had to wear a mask on Public Transport or when visiting a Hospital or Surgery or having a blood test (I've had to).

So why have any exemption at all for a shop?

Some people seem to have the mentality they can dodge Covid.

The Dry Continous Cough was awful with blood traces in the throat and nose due to becoming so sore and on the upper respiratory and chest it became exhausting. This can go to Pneumonia in the lungs.

GET REAL, you NON-MASK WEARERS!

If you ought to, put a mask on and try and Protect Yourself and Others as much as you can and keep your Distance.
