what do these clippings say * COMPLETED*
« on: Tuesday 12 January 21 12:23 GMT (UK) »
The attached two clippings are taken from Kent Burials on FindMyPast and are for Thomas NEWINGTON bur 28 Jun 1625 at Farington, Kent and his wife Elizabeth whose burial appears two burials below Thomas.

I would love to know exactly what each clipping states. I had a job even reading the forename and surname hence posting to Rootschat forum in the hope of some assistance.

Thank you very much.

As to Thomas: I wonder what is meant by "yeoma[n] of ye guarde"?  I know what a yeoman is but the context of the '....guarde...' is unknown.

Yeoman of the Guard...

Guarding the Monarch, very interesting and historically significant.

Mr Google is your friend   :)  :)

PS - because there is so much I don't know about history sometimes its good for me to touch base with other knowledgeable people such as your good self and get some advice.  After that I do often consult Mr/Dr GOOGLE for an in depth reading.
