I have no records of these Wilsons my grandfather born 1867 was too old to fight and his sons were born in  1915 and 1920.
I have an account from David Ures book of  Wilsons in Carnduff/Flakefield in the late 1600s who joined the Cameronians then became part of Scots guard who fought at the battle of Steinkirk in 1698 with the dutch against France

As you say you have traced the farm back to 1618, I'm presuming you have found and seen records of sasines outlining this.
(It would have been helpful to say in your post just what records you have, to save those wishing to help you going over the same ground again).
Have you looked through all the records on https://scotlandsplaces.gov.uk/?
Lots of historical tax rolls (actual images), that may mention your family.
Were they non-conformists and part of the Covenanters movement in the late 1600s? Lots of information about them to be found on-line.
Did they take part in the battle of Drumclog in 1679? Again. lots of information about that on-line.

Yes i have sassines for 1618..and through till 1800s .We bought Carnduff From Alexander Lindsay mains castle  in East Kilbride..
I have a record that we were Bonded and tested during covananting times ,as refusal to do so  could lead to our lands being seized...
Later after King William came to the throne this threat was lifted .
