1841-51 census- James Robinson- Rochdale
« on: Sunday 17 January 21 21:49 GMT (UK) »
Hi,
Could someone please look up James Robinson in the 1841 and 51 censuses? He was the son of another James Robinson and was born in c.1832 in Rochdale.
Thanks

Hello,
What other information do you have for James?
Do you have a marriage or census entry?

The thread title is "1831-41 census". You can change the wording to 1841-51.

I'm not sure. I only know the date and Robinson' father's name. I don't know if he was a widower, but it seems a bit unlikely if he was 22 when he married Jane. Also, Jane was from Colne, which is somewhat close to Newchurch.

The baptism of Richard gives the parents as James and Jane
28th March 1869 St Chad’s.

James is a Dyer as is John which is a change of occupation from marriage

Mary Jane has father James too so presumable the census is an error.
