William Hammer Victoria-His parents & origin in UK

I am trying to find when William Hammer who married Ada Williams in 1903- parents came to Australia- and the ship.
I would like to find their place of origin.
William was a miner born in Australia -assume Ballarat or Bendigo but have no idea where the Hammer family originated.
Can anyone help me please?

Ancestry has a tree with him in it -from what I can see it appears to be well-researched with certificates etc mentioned.  You should check though.

His parents are listed as
William HAMMER, b Apr 1846, St Austell, Cornwall, England, died 2 NOV 1896 • Ballarat East, 
and
Elizabeth Jane TRELOAR, b Dec 1851, Cornwall, England, died 1927. Ballarat East, Victoria, Australis

25 December 1847 at Charlestown
William Henry Hammer  son of William & Caroline Hammer
Father a mine
Residence - Mount Charles
