Commonwealth War Graves Commission are appealing for relatives of Pvt F Tatton of the North Staffordshire Regiment. Service Number 203041 - buried Cheddleton (St Edward The Confessor) Churchyard) Died 25/2/1918

Born 1895 and aged 23 years.

The private memorial marking the grave of Pvt Tatton no longer provides adequate commemoration. The commission are in the process of producing a headstone to mark his grave.

 Frank Tatton son of Arthur and Ruth nee Sutton. On fold next of kin is Ruth.
 In 1901 family are at 1 Sunnyside cottage Cheddleton.

There is a tree on Ancestry but they have the wrong birth name of Frank Goodall  Tatton........his mother's maiden name was Goodall.message sent to owner of tree.

If you check 'B.T. Find a Number' there are four telephone numbers for the name Tatton in the Cheddleton area. HTH.

This would give a nearer enough relative for CWGC

Following the line of a younger brother George Tatton born 7 May 1908.
George and Alice had a son Geoffrey Tatton 30 May 1934 who died Torbay October 2001 (spouse is probably still living)  George was married 1959 -
There may have been a couple of births from this couple. Perhaps one male (1966) and one female (1964)
