I am trying to find a James Doyle born 1830 in Whitehaven. I have him in the 61 census born in Whitehaven living with his inlaws the Middletons, but can not find him in the 41, or 51. I have his marriage in 1856 giving his father as Peter an engineman. I have found a Peter from Ireland in 41,51 but James is not there. In 51 he says an engine driver, so think he is the right father. If anyone can find James that would be great. Many thanks

And in 1851 possibly James Doyle age 22 coal miner b Ireland lodging at Cleator, Cumberland

Thanks, yes I saw them ones, I think it could be his father as he is an engine driver in 51, but I have no knowledge of him being an Edward, and I saw the 51 one too, but he was born in Whitehaven not Ireland, unless it was an error. Thanks
