Could you please date when and where these photo’s were taken.
« on: Saturday 06 February 21 02:43 GMT (UK) »
Hi to all,
I have been given these photo’s to see if we can date them, if anyone recognises the couple, and potentially where the snaps were taken, possible estate. All pretty difficult, but the only names I have are of the gentleman wearing the hat and “possibly”
The person (wife) behind the camera. Their names Mervyn & Nancy Trunaman.
These photo’s were in the possession of a friend of Mervyn, Sheila Elizabeth Glassford Gale.

It would help to say when the gentleman was born if you know his name.

Are they both deceased now?
Hinchliffe - Huddersfield Wiltshire
Burroughs - Arlingham Glos
Pick - Frocester Glos

From the lady' dress I would say sometime in he sixties.Maybe late fifties.
Would suggest upper. crust,, very  self assured woman comfortable with herself.

Gentleman' s specs should date it more accurately.
Talking to the gamekeeper perhaps? But all just speculation.
Probably way out.

I agree with Lola about the date of Nancy's clothing*. I think they may be Mervyn Stuart Trenaman and Nancy Kathleen Fisher who married in 1967. Nancy dies in 2002 and Mervyn died in 2008. Both born circa 1920.

Photos maybe Oxfordshire where they lived or could be any British estate.

* add - misread Lola's post. I thought she meant the 1960s not her age. I think this was 60s clothing for older women - reminds me of what my mother wore then. Could be later!

Having second thoughts.
The lady looks to be in her sixties judging by arthritic hands.
Maybe she is gamekeeper's wife talking to man in specs wife?
There are no clues as to where this is so you need someone who knew it at some time.

Posted this and they said to review it in light of further posts being added.
Sorry do not know how to either review or unpost.

Yes both are deceased.
And thankyou for sorting the approx dating of the photos, I also felt they looked like 60’s clothing.
And it was a long shot as to where it was taken, but food for thought on Oxfordshire.
Thankyou all for your help.

Gadget, Yes I did mean the 1960,s. By hair and clothing.

We had longer length in the 30's  and then sort of just below the knee when the war came and dresses got shorter then  after the war the "new look" look came in with longer length.
And yes I did think lady was about 60 but by her hands. But she was obviously younger if born in the 1920's.
