Edward James Edgington - mariage

I have the marriages for Sussex but they don't go far enough back for this name.  Any ideas I don't know whether in fact he married in East Grinstead.  Ideally of course I also want his birth date and his death I am a member of the Sussex Family History Group and have checked that with various spellings.

The Sussex Record Society have transcriptions of the Parish Registers of East Grinstead, you can find a copy of the book online.

I cannot see any references to Edgington's in the registers at all, however there are possible variant surnames such as EGERTON, EDGGERTONNE and EDGERTONNE in the registers but none of them fit with the information you have.

There seem to be more EDGINGTONs in nearby Horsham and an Edward EGERTON is buried in RUSPER between East Grinstead and Horsham in 1639.

A difficult one indeed!
