CWGC entry for Sgt 305829 later 2830 Harry Hall of 2/8th Kings was killed in action on 3 April 1917 while Attached to the 171st T M Bty what does that mean ?

Was it a Tunneling Btn ?

This map is about as close as I can get.
He was in H.30.a left of Bois Grenier but not sure
why an LTMB would have been this far away from the
enemy front line.
I don't know the exact date of this map.

Just to finish it off he died here at Estaires.
This was a boys school run by nuns & used
as a CCS by the 1st. Australian.

Jim1 the Family are over the Moon with your finds !
They visit Estaires twice a year but never knew exactly where he died or how.
They are truly gobsmacked.

Ancestry found his Soldiers Effects Record which never came up under his serial numbers when I searched.



Any idea what the abbreviations in black in June and July 1917 above entry for his Widow Sarah Jane.

Surprisingly no Dependents Pension card comes up for his Widow unless someone can find it.
