My uncle is one elusive man!! We know when he died but cannot uncover any registrations of him and his parents etc He was born at Glenvogie in the parish  of Penninghame  Newton Stewart

Bill married Elizabeth Fern nee Little in 1949 and had one daughter who has also failed to identify her fathers tree!

Can anyone assist per chance

Have his marriage and death certs been checked to see what they show? Did he marry in Scotland? The death cert more relevant if he died in Scotland rather than elsewhere in the UK as Scottish certs include more details.

What is your uncle's full name. From his age at death, when do you estimate he was born?

They're the parents yes well done Married in 1919  William was born at Glenvogie which im assuming was a cottage on the Penninghame estate There is a Glenvogie Fells north of Newton Stewart ..
Gilbert I suspect from boyhood recollection died Glenluce where he had retired to and close to son William
