Sgt Alfred Brown RAFVR

Just looking for pointers, any assistance much appreciated
Trying to find out DPOB, NOK for 1860203 Sgt (Airgunner) Alfred Brown.
His Halifax II HR853 51 Squadron RAF Snaith(Pollington) shot down 26 May 1943 near Malden, Heumen, Gelderland, Netherlands.
All crew killed and buried in Uden Cemetery, Netherlands.
No other information.

No info re age or relatives on www.cwgc.org website as a starting point.  Need all the help you can get with a surname like Brown.  freebmd has 64 Alfred Brown births 1919-1923

What is your connection to him?

No relation to me, trying to assist another person.
My uncle died 3 days after in another shooting down.

WW2 records are still with the MoD.  Unless there are any reports of the incident with more info about him it will be difficult

If the person you are helping is a descendant they can apply for his WW2 records

That Halifax was hit by the anti-aircraft  - flak  - guns of 1. and 4./gem. Flak Abt. 591 and crashed at Malden at 02.30 hours.  Five minutes later the same unit aided by its No. 3 Battery shot down the 100 Squadron Lancaster W4998 which crashed at Melderslo, 2 km East North East of Horst.
