Re Ancestry ?
« on: Friday 26 February 21 09:33 GMT (UK) »

Has anyone knowing of the price deals that are available on Ancestry at present?
I'm soon to be going to/into hospital for treatment.
My Annual agreement expired recently. I would like to know if anyone knows if there are any better deals of Ancestry than to what they are offering on the Ancestry site.?
Their six monthly deal of £54 plus seems good at present, but has anyone knowledge of a better deal. Or would it be better to wait nearer to the time that they release the 1921 Census. Any info much appreciated.

It'll be a while before Ancestry have the 1921 census as FindMyPast have exclusive right for a period of time.

There's several threads on here about half price Ancestry subs.

Using it via your library card, if you can is the cheapest option at the moment.  When that finishes, in March I believe, I will probably go to FindMyPast for a while.

Yes that one definitely still works and is probably the best one you'll get.

Hope all goes well with the treatment.

Hi Sandra, I purchased that same deal in Feb. last year and it's not long expired. I was hoping it would still be available for this year and your info has confirmed this for me. I'm possibly not going to renew until when the 1921 Census is released or I may hold back until how I am after treatment. With fingerers crossed I just hope the deal will still be available then.
Thanks again for the info, Best Regards Just J

That deal has been running for at least four years, so hopefully will continue. As said earlier though, the 1921 won't be available for some time ( 5 years has been mentioned) on Ancestry, you'll need Find My Past for that.

Wishing you all the very best and hope the treatment goes well. Let us know how you get on.  :)

Fingers crossed you get the same deal at a suitable time  :)

Did read somewhere a little while ago that 1921 census would be published in 2022. Think it was find my past who had got the contract. Will add if I find the info again.

Take Care
Stay Safe
