Catherine Stevenson b.1842 married Matthew simm b.1844
« on: Saturday 27 February 21 19:12 GMT (UK) »
Catherine Stevenson and Matthew Simm married in 1865 .
her father James..... his father Andrew... in 1866 they lived in Glengormley  I assume with her father and stepmother Mary but by 1867 they are living in Collinward .
The trail goes cold I can not find them alive or dead anywhere.
There is a death in Canada but the dates are not correct
can anyone help please.

Steve

I wondered about this Matthew Simm & wife Elizabeth (born Ireland) with children Elizabeth, James, William but if daughter's age correct then she was born c1863-

You haven't posted link to marriage certificate, mentioned Matthew's occupation, etc. The groom's name is SIM not Simm (Simm doesn't bring up the marriage on Irish Genealogy site)-

Another possible couple in Canada- but that Catherine too young-

Matthew Sim & wife Catherine in Cumberlabnd with daughter Jane born Ireland c1866 (can't find birth in Ireland)-

I have the certificate so I would have no idea how to scan,(lookdown and no grandchildren to help) but what a fabulous site the irishgenealogy is.

I also have Janes Simm birth certificate but she was not named on it and they had a daughter Margaret born April 1867 under Simms.

I have followed Andrews family and spellings can be Sim Sims Simm Simms Sym Symm Symms Simn and now Sum.

So thank you again.....onwards
