The birth of (Arthur) Clement Henry Ostrehan was announced in The Times on 15 Dec. 1885 and in Freeman's Journal two days later. I have images of those announcements which both clearly state 9 Dec. as the date of birth -- though of course we don't know how bad his father's handwriting was.
The familysearch web site says he was baptized on the 6th, and that the info came from Findmypast. I haven't come across baptism in utero before!
Would some kind soul with a subscription be prepared to look for him in the 1939 Register and see what date of birth he gave then? Or does someone perhaps have a register for Bloxham school or Leeds University (if there is such a thing)?
