Any chance of a clearer photo and maybe a closeup?

Very hard to make out, but the Cap Badge profile to Me, resembles a Suffolk Infantry Regiment.
Kirkham, Garlick, Worthington, Shaw, Bamber. Fylde Coast
Naylor/Nailor, Lyons, Wilkinson. Nottinghamshire/Derbyshire
Redfern. Cheshire/Derbyshire
LeFebvere, Lincolnshire

I tried to post the same thing when my internet went down for maintenance last night. I thought the collar badges fit with Suffolk Regt as did the cap badge.

As all we have to work with is a blurry shape, I wasn’t too confident, but I’m glad you’ve come up with that suggestion too Sandblown.  :)

A decent scan of the photo should clarify.

Yekepa, if you know the chap’s name you can always apply for his service record.

Thanks for input -  getting records will probably be the way to go.
It is a mystery really as an elderly member of his family tells me that he was in Suffok Reg and a POW (WW2) but when I searched that record it came up with South Lanc Reg. that it why I wanted to clarify the uniform was Suffolk

Thank you all for your help

Hi, if you Google “Suffolk Regiment collar badges” you will see his are a match. The cap badge shape and visible detail would seem to confirm it.
(1) Janions of Cheshire, Lancashire, Hawaii, Vancouver and Seattle.
(2) Gregorys of Tarporley, Cheshire.
(3) Pughs of 'The New Pale' near Frodsham and Delamere in Cheshire.
(4) Nevills of Llanelly, Llangennech and Felinfoel.
(5) Yaldens of Ovington/Lovington in Hampshire.
