Death look up please

Robert Cains born 1806 Hanham Gloucestershire, married Elizabeth Cary in 1824 Cheltenham. They go on to have 8 children
Henry b 1825
Robert b 1827
Joseph b 1829
William b 1833
Charles b 1836
Jane Eliza b 1840
Elizabeth b 1842
Sarah Anne b 1843
All born in Cheltenham

Cannot find a death for either Elizabeth or Robert, on the 1871 census Robert maybe lodging in Charlton Kings with the Platt family but on the original it  looks like his name has been crossed out and it gives no details.  Wife Elizabeth is living in Cheltenham in 1871 cannot make out if it says M or W

Any help would be appreciated.

If she is Elizabeth 'Cane' - Annuitant with daughter Sarah then it is W.  Other entries on page give Mar for Married

Is Elizabeth living in Cheltenham with son, Charles?  RG10/2665 folio 10 page 14.  If so then she is a widow and surnames written as Caines.
Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.
Remember - "They'll be found when they want to be found" !!!

In case it helps, in 1861 they are in Abberley, Worcestershire
