Dating a series of (possibly Stott family) photographs [3/5]
« on: Saturday 20 March 21 19:27 GMT (UK) »
Here's the third of the five old photographs we've found in a family collection. We know nothing about them except what's visible on the scans, and the fact that they're probably inherited from Stott ancestors from the north west of England. I'd like to get your ideas on dates, please, and any other information you can glean that might be useful.

The debossed logo on the bottom right appears to say (correct me if you think I'm wrong) “FROSS / ART STUDIO / 965 ARMITAGE AGE CHICAGO / NEAR KEDZIE AVE”

Armitage Ave maybe, though it does look like a g rather than a v.

Wonderful image.

Yes, sorry, it is Armitage Ave, not Armitage Age. A typo in my original post.

It's the "FROSS" I'm not sure about. Is that an R? I can't find any reference to this art studio online.
