I'm confused as Victor T Jeffs and wife Nellie Jeffs appear to have 2 different birth dates.

Victor T Jeffs has the code TGA against one of the "birth dates"
Nellie Jeffs has the code KDA against one of the "birth dates"

I can see a birth registration for Victor Jeffs - September quarter 1897 - Aston Registration District.
Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.

Dates of birth on the 1939 Register are those declared by the people themselves.
These are often a year (or so!) out.

As the Register was continually updated by the NHS until the early 1990s, it looks like a correction has been made in later years.

The 3 character code refers to the district where the correction was discovered/made.

The date of birth 5 Sep 1888 supplied by Victor T Jeffs matches what we have for my great Grand Uncle Willy Thomas Victor Jeffs born in Leicestershire, England
