1851 Census for Eglwysilan

I have a number of family members who lived in and around Eglwysilan in 1851 but are missing from the Census.  I have looked up another family member who IS in the Census on Ancestry.Com and then I changed the Enumeration District and have been all the way through from District 1 to District 7 and couldn't find my 3 x Great Grandfather.  I will start on the districts around the village but my query is - was there ever a District 6?  I've trawled Districts 1, 2, 3a, 3b, 4a, 4b, 5a, 5b and 7 but then I realised there is no District 6 mentioned on Ancestry.  Does anybody know if this is because it is missing/destroyed or because it doesn't exist?  My Find my Past subscription has just expired and I can't check on there.  When you look up what Census records are missing for 1851, Eglwysilan isn't mentioned.  Thanks in advance any help gratefully received.

Thanks Osprey.  My 3rd Great Grandfather was Thomas Evans married to Margaret Isaac 1793-1835.  They had 10 children but I'm missing Thomas, his daughter Mary b1824, son William b1825 and daughter Rebecca b1829.  In 1841 they were in Duffryn in Eglwysilan and Thomas died 1 April 1860 "Nr Gwern-y-Gerwn, Eglwysilan" (another mystery that I need to solve later). If I have the correct William, he was living at Ty Isaf Farm in Eglwysilan when he married his wife and named his father on the record.  I'm happy to keep researching my family but just wanted someone to tell me if there is or is not a District 6 of the 1851 Eglwysilan Census because it turns out that I have two branches of my family from Eglwysilan and it would be useful to know.

there's nothing in the known problems on Findmypast about it being missing. But, I'm not finding the children. When did Mary marry?
Burial in Eglwysilan 3 April 1860 Thomas Evans 75 Rhydfelen

I thought I'd found a Thomas of the right sort of age and an ag lab in Rhydfelen but married to a Mary. Now I can't find it.

There's a monumental index for Thomas although year of death is out by a year from the burial. There's also a mention of Rebecca on that index age 25 24 June 1854 but no burial. So perhaps she was living and then died elsewhere. There's no GRO record for the death of a Rebecca Evans in jun qtr 1854.

Thanks Osprey.  I don't have a definite marriage for Mary.  Yes Thomas was buried at Eglwysilan on 3 April 1860 and the monumental index is a year out but I think the person who took the details down mistranscribed an old stone.  Rebecca and Isaac were twins and Rebecca married Evan Jenkins of Nantgarw in 1853 and died 24 Jun 1854 and is buried at Eglwysilan. I have an Issac in Bedwellty in 1851 working as a minor, in 1861 in Llantrisant working as a Labourer and after that as an Ostler but I'm not certain the census records all belong to him. I've also seen the record for Thomas and Mary but I've seen them in 1861 also so I don't think that's them as he was dead by then.  Thanks for trying.  Maybe I need to find out from the National Archive if there IS a District 6 because I have a lot of family in Eglwysilan!

that's explain no death reg with surname Evans. Burial 24 June 1854 Rebecca Jenkins 26. So age on the burial correct for baptism 28 April 1828.

Do you know how old Evan Jenkin was? It could be that Rebecca was near him in the 1851 census.

Evan Jenkins was a Mason (and later a publican) born in about 1825 in Eglwysilan and in 1851 he was in Nantgarw on the District 5b section of the Eglwysilan Census but I've been right the way through from District 1 to 7 and haven't been able to match anybody up unfortunately. In Ancestry I can start on page 1 of the first District and scroll all the way to the end of the parish and then change the district number while retaining the Civil Parish of Eglwisilan.  As I recall I couldn't go from district to district in Find My Past.
