WW1 1914-15 Star Trio – NZ Named 10/3209 Pte W J Butler.(WIA) Nice trio named to 8th Reinfs Wellington Infantry soldier. Butler was WIA in left leg 21/9/16 on the Somme and also TB lungs. He was discharged 2/3/1917 and died as a result war service on 1/9/1923. His next of kin issued with memorial plaque and scroll in 1930. A post WW1 war casualty. Correctly impressed “10/3209 PTE. W.J. BUTLER. N.Z.E.F.”.
