Which Edith did William marry?

I have another conundrum to try and sort out.  I have William Heywood 1878 married to Edith.  My problem is that when I look up the hints on Ancestry I have people saying that her name is Edith Copplestone 1880 and others saying that her name is Edith Pickles 1879.  They are also saying that all the children's names are correct for both Edith's.  Do I need marriage certificate to confirm who he is married to?

Have you checked the birth registrations index for the child that you know is 'your' line as that should give mothers maiden surname

There is this in 1911 with surnames Heywood, Coppleston and Pickles.
Could it be your Edith/

1901 has William, Edith and son Thomas (MMN Copplestone) with Copplestone in laws living in same household.

Hi everone, thanks for getting back to me about this.  Also many thanks regarding the different sites you have pointed to.  I didn't know about these, but hopefully will help me out in my search for the elusive Heywoods I need to confirm.
