Helpful notes on registers

I know that most births are quite easy to find in 1900's.
I've just found an entry on the 1939 Register of married lady, usual occupation of 'unpaid domestic duties' with the added note 'at present pregnant'

The comment may have been a hint to the authorities that she was unlikely to be available for war work. My mother was also then pregnant and already had a year-old child. Her interview for war work was during her 3rd trimester. She was judged unsuitable for war work. As well as looking after soon-to-be two young children, she was helping to run a dairy farm.
