Pratt - Emberton
« on: Tuesday 13 April 21 19:52 BST (UK) »
Looking for more information on Palmer Pratt b.abt 1777 and his parents Francis (a merchant?) and Esther, and the son of Palmer - Thomas - who married a lady called Rose, but I do not know her surname. They were all from Emberton.

Palmer was on the Posse Comitatus stemming from the Defence of the Realm Act of 1798. He then moved to Northamptonshire. He was a carpenter.

Any help appreciated

Could Palmers parents be

Francis Pratt and Hester Lucy who married in Easton Maudit in 1775 July 16th by licence. A son John baptised there on Dec 13th that year.
Easton Maudit to Emberton is about 7/8 miles

There is an item about Palmer PRATT in trouble for keeping his beer shop open after 9:30pm in 1835, and an advertisement for the sale of his property as per his will (mentioning that he was a carpenter, and also mentioning the beer shop now in occupation by Thomas PRATT) in 1853. Happy to send you a copy if you haven't seen them.  :)

Yes, that would be amazing. Thank you. I'm pretty new on here - do you need my email address or will you post them via this message board?
