Welcome to RootsChat!  :)

Florence Guthrie & William Egglestone married 23 June 1923 South Shields - possibly a registry office going off the 'R' code given.

Emily Egglestone & Matthew O'Neill married 9 June 1919 South Shields also possibly registry office.

Annie Eggleston & Charles McCrudden married 21 July 1901 South Shields - again possibly a registry office.

Could George Egglestone have married a Hannah E. Parker 1 July 1912 in South Shields?  Also looks like a non conformist venue such as a registry office.

See top link above for the school user guides at Tyne and Wear Archives.  Jarrow school records might contain a mention of Egglestone children in either an admission record or a log book.

Could George Egglestone have married a Hannah E. Parker 1 July 1912 in South Shields?

George was with a Hannah on the 1939 ( she appeared to be his wife).  From memory, there was only one blacked out name with them, but the poor guy was a prisoner of war in WW1, so they lost many years out of creating a family.

On Florence Guthrie's side, I think this is the right family:
David Guthrie    b. abt 1869
Isabella Guthrie    b. abt 1872
Siblings
Hannah Guthrie    b. abt 1892
Annie Guthrie    b. abt 1894
Sarah Jane Guthrie    b. abt 1897
Isabella Guthrie    b. 10 Apr 1900 Possibly m. John Wilkinson
Mary Elizabeth Guthrie  b. abt 1905
John William Guthrie   b. abt 1909

I have only looked for Isabella and although I cannot find a marriage anywhere, her baptism states actual birth date was 10 Apr 1900 which is a match for an Isabella H. Wilkinson, husband John on the '39, living in Seaham, Durham. Could just be coincidence though, or it's a second marriage for Isabella.

Just a thought, if no relationship connection might be found with the Adamsons .. might William have gone to the South Shields Union workhouse after his parents deaths?  Might he have been boarded out with the Adamsons under a perhaps fostering arrangement?

Might come under paupers records on Tyne and Wear User guides.  Any such record might not be able to access until 100 years unless someone was a relative seeking paid research.

Possibly, if you explained the situation to archives staff in an email they might search the workhouse records for  William and if he was there a discharge entry might reveal the circumstances of his departure (Likely there would be a charge for this service)
A school record discharge (if there is one) might also reveal circumstances of departure.

Thank you - I didn’t think of him being sent to a workhouse but that’s a possibility. Poor kids must have had an awful time - losing their parents so young :(
