Gideon Roberts (1856-1929)
« on: Sunday 25 April 21 23:24 BST (UK) »
Doing a family tree for a friend and found that an ancestor Gideon Roberts born Trowbridge (1856-1929), had a trial on the 13 Nov 1880 for manslaughter and was acquitted. He was held in Winchester prison before the trial. I have googled but have not found any newspaper reports on the trial or proceedings. Would welcome any help in finding any information.

There are many reports, some very detailed from September to November 1880 on FindMyPast and presumably British Newspaper Archives.
