Hello Carole. thanks for your help.

Tudor Davies married Gillian  A Newton 1972

Tudor Davies had 3 siblings and was the eldest   Brynley Davies, June Davies (deceased) and Windsor (deceased). The family came from the village of  Troedyfuwch ,which is between Tirphil and Pontlottyn. I think that is East Glamorgan, situated in the Rhymney Valley.

The 1936 marriage seems the likeliest but given that Davies was such a common name in Wales I would be inclined to err on the cautious side & wait for Tudor's birth cert

If Tudor was the eldest b 1944 then this 1942 marriage is more likely than the 1936 I mentioned earlier

Marriages June qtr 1942
Davies    Ronald      E.Glamogan    11a   2228
Davies    Violet M      E.Glamogan    11a   2228

Hello Carole.

Reference Ronald Davies, I have found and talked with his brother's grandson. Ronald's brother was William Henry Davies born 13th January, 1895 and he is fairly certain place of birth was Nantyglo. Monmouthshire. His death was 1976 and he died in Blackpool.
William Henry Davies was brought back to Wales and is buried in Brithdir Cemetery, near Bargoed, in the Rhymney Valley, Ronald Davies and his wife Violet are also buried in the cemetery. It seems there are 6/7 siblings for Ronald Davies.

There's a William Henry Davies born c 1895 and still living in Nantyglo in 1911. He;s the oldest of the 8 children of the marriage still living/ Parents are William and Jane

There's no Ronald - the brothers are Albert John b c1902 and Reggie b c1909

Maybe he was known as Ron but that wasn't his actual name?

Or it's a middle name - working from the GRO the mother's maiden name was WIlliams. Reggie was registered as Essex Reginald in Bedwelty

There's an Albert Ronald b Bedwelty in 1916, mmn Williams

By the way it's Troedrhiwfuwch, not Troedyfuwch
