Per Olofsson Seline's wife Anna
« on: Wednesday 28 April 21 21:47 BST (UK) »
I am trying to find out information about Anna Seline the wife of Per Olofsson Seline (1834) Hassela Sweden. They appear in the 1871 Census at Cambridge, Ishanti Minnesota. He is called Peter Seline then. Her birth year is 1843. In 1860 there is a Peter Seline born in 1831 with Anna Seline (1834) with two boys Andrew and William. Andrew Seline is related to me. Does anyone know more about this family? I particularly want to know about the children and the maiden name of Anna as well as her fate.

Also,
I took a look in Hassela and there are a number of Pers with an Olof attached. Do you have his birth date?

He was born January 1834 in Hassela and died in Isanti 1920. I know a lot about him, but virtually nothing about his children and his wife. Yes that's them in the 1860 and 1870 Census. I cannot find any marriage record for Per and Anna Oloffson Seline nor birth records for their children William and Andrew and possibly some daughters. I really want to know the ethnic background of his wife as I have German/Jewish ancestry.

I took a look if he was perhaps married here in Sweden. He left alone via Germany probably Hamburg as Per Olson. The minister had written Silén in the Church Book.
You most probably know all this.

Yes, but I cannot see records for a marriage in Minnesota or Sweden (if he did get married) and no records re the children. I wanted to discover her maiden name.

I'll dig a little here in Sweden and see if anything comes up.

Do you have any other census records from FamilySearch?
