Looking at the 1870 US census now.

There's a Tharsa Pugh, 36, female, house keeper, born England
living in Ossining, Westchester county, New York state.

She's living with a Hugh Herringshaw also from England.

There's a marriage in Paddington (St. James) on the 7th August 1825
between Thomas Pugh bachelor of this parish and Jane Lloyd spinster of this parish.

They are probably the couple on the 1841 and 1851 census in Islington.
In 1841 there is a Henry Pugh aged 11 with them born in Middlesex!

Now I just don't understand the New York wedding in the 1870s where they're listed as being widowed.
