Did Miss Parker marry CB?
« on: Sunday 09 May 21 12:57 BST (UK) »
I've got this postcard, from a CB to Miss Parker, at an address in Barnstaple, posted Christmas Eve 1918.

I'm wondering if CB survived the war (assuming he was a soldier) and did he and Miss Parker marry?  And also who was the Dr Cooper the card went c/o? I do have a scan of the other side.

Neither are my ancestors, but its all a bit intriguing.

She appears to have married Alfred Taylor 1911 Devon.
By 1939 she is a Widow.

EDIT sorry if married why would she be getting a postcard in 1918.
Maybe I've made a mistake here.

I shouldn't even try....but why not. :)

The date is 1918? Just want to make sure.

On the 1891-the neighbours to the PARKERs were a family of BASSETTs-including Charles(son) b 1890 and Charles b 1869.

Probably out in the weeds on this one.  Sorry!

Maureen

A published tree shows the marriage posted by Trish for Ida.
It is odd that it was sent in her maiden name but perhaps it was a friendship rather than a romantic relationship.

Could well be, although the front of the card is romantic.
