No Covid-19 deaths in England, Scotland, Northern Ireland
« on: Tuesday 11 May 21 10:03 BST (UK) »
Hi all,

It was incredible to read that there were no Covid-19 related deaths recorded yesterday in England, Scotland, Northern Ireland. There is usually under-reporting on a Monday, but it's still incredibly encouraging.

Two-thirds of people in the UK have been vaccinated, and a third have had two doses.

Amazing stuff.

Very encouraging news good to see the cases going down .I just hope it stays like this and doesn't get out of control again ..Think the vaccines have helped and hopefully we will all get back to some normality  :)

That is wonderful news but unfortunately Derry/Donegal has a very high infection rate-
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-57009321
"Eighty-four cases of Covid-19 have been linked to a wake in County Donegal" ... "A separate cluster of 32 cases came after a person was infected at a family gathering in the county and continued to go to work, while 19 cases followed an 18th birthday party."

I waited until this morning to ring hairdresser for an appointment (if I wait much longer I will have to contact her brother to see when he's doing sheep sheering!) and got an appointment tomorrow morning- a cancellation because of covid.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

But the BBC website this morning reports 4 deaths on 10 May, bringing the total to 127,609  :-\ :-\

Correct, but those four deaths were not in England, Scotland or Northern Ireland.
