John Heywood c1826
« on: Sunday 16 May 21 15:41 BST (UK) »
I have John Heywood c1826 as the start of my family tree, and am now trying to find his father.  I have a few 'hints' but cannot clarify their accuracy.  He was married in 1850 at Cathedral Parish Church to Alice Heaton.  How would I go about finding out who his parents were?  I have had 'hints' that it could be John Heywood c1800 married to either a Martha or an Alice, or William Heywood c1794 married to Mary Maria Nayler.  I don't live local, so cannot get to check things in person.
Thanks in anticipation, Kath

Previous thread

I replied to that one too,   So wasting our time with a duplicate post  ???

I only asked where the hints were coming from as if it was Ancestry then OP could view that marriage themselves  :-\

There's a marriage of a John Heywood 3.12.1820 Cathedral Manchester. He's a bachelor and occ "Maker up of Twist, married Elizabeth Hayhurst

As well as son John, think there are 2 siblings
Ann Bancroft Heywood bap 25.12.1821--father John Maker up
Harriet bap same day as John 29.1.1826.

Harriet married as a "minor" on the 1st May1840 father John occ Maker up--looks as though father was as a witness as well.

Harriet’s address on marriage is Carruthers Street.
The 1841 reference on other thread shows Heywoods at Garners Bldgs not far away.

The 1851 reference from other thread refers to John Heywood as a visitor.

This is to Joseph and Harriet Sutton.

1849 marriage - Harriet Beckett and Joseph Sutton are on the same page.

Harriet Heywood had married James Beckett in 1841.
