It would be helpful to know the "what, where, and when" of the document.

Of course it is.  Lol…, when screwing up the eyes, letters take on different shapes.

In fact, I’m building an Ancestry tree for a certain Sgt Ralph Fraser.  And while verifying some very interesting RootsChat info, I referred to a post I made back in 2018.  However, someone added a ‘belated’ remark that I must answer. (only just seen it)  I had email problems during his reply.

Anyway, this person has Ralph’s wife Ann Tayton with a father called Robert.  So I found it unusual to fine two other Taytons on their certificate as witnesses, and not mentioned in his tree.  Perhaps her father was dead.

I found this and it certainly looks like Jane.  All very confusing.
