I would guess Derry since the daughter Annie was married there. Patrick Mulherns marriage certicate says Banagher where my grandad was born. I am guessing that William Mulhern could have been born and married in Banagher, he could have moved to Scotland at some point as Patrick Mulhern (from the wedding certifcate) his son Arthur went to work in Scotland.

If William Mulhern is related his father would also be Arthur's the same father as Patrick in the wedding certificate

I recall we searched for William Allen.

I asked you re William Mulhern.
If he is the father of Annie, is she the relative?

Sorry I meant Mulhern, just a mix up, William Mulhern is the father to Annie, the only information i can find regarding William Mulhern, is Annies Mulhern's wedding certificate. I find the rest difficult to find.

I think I understand.
Where is Annie in 1901 and 1911?

I am off out now so hopefully someone may help otherwise I’ll have a look when I come back.

Please give Annie’s details other than the marriage.

I am doing some research into the humes family who lived in the Burt parish, the same as the Allens, Annie Allen became Mulhern. There was a Susan Hummes who married William Mccloskey. Already have the information from the Humes family, I think there is a contection to the Allens

The Humes and Allens lived 5 minutes from one another in Derry city in 1901. William Mccloskey's brother Hugh married Annie Mulhern, her father was William that I talked about.  It made me think there are some contection to my side of the Mulhern family.  Since Arthur was my 2 times great grandfather he might be a relation to Annie Mulhern, maybe a cousin but there are a lot of Mulherns

I have also contacted my family members as there doesn't seem to be any information for Annie or her father William.

William Mccloskey's brother Hugh married Annie Mulhern.

1901 census http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/Londonderry/Londonderry_Urban_No__1/Nassau_St__Lower/1535259/

Hugh McCluskey with sons William and Hugh

Hugh who married Annie Mulhern in 1890 can’t be the brother of William who married Susan Humes in 1909.
