1611 Scottish testament testamentar for Issobell Pringill
« on: Friday 21 May 21 15:05 BST (UK) »
Hello. I am enjoying the challenge of deciphering this testament but could really do with some input from an experienced eye. The index entry for this image reads as

sometime servant to William Pringill, brother lawful to George P. of Torwodlie, parish of Leith, sheriffdom of Edinburgh

My best effort so far is below. I haven't yet been able to visit Scotland's People and am curious as to when the index was created. Was it as part of the digitisation or much earlier? The content is also of interest as Issobell is referred to as a 'sometime servant' but has the same surname as William Pringill. I have two more pages of this testament but don't wish to impose too much.
Maybe later.
Thanks

Issobell Pringill

Wow. Thanks GR2. I had so much wrong. Do you know who compiled the index? They must have a very good understanding of the hand to pull out the essentials so well.

If you get stuck you can always post more of the document here to be transliterated.
