Long lost family post 1911
« on: Sunday 30 May 21 11:26 BST (UK) »
I have totally lost track of the following family after 1911, address in the census is 50 Gresham Street, Lincoln.

Harry Chambers b1863
Elizabeth (nee Sturdy) c1867
Jane Annie b1894
George William b1905
Hilda Mary b1910

Harry is noted on both his marriage certs (Elizabeth is 2nd wife), and baptism of children as a builder.

I wonder if they moved out of county as there's no obvious bmd entries in Lincs that look likely for them and nothing in Lincs FHS burial transcripts (though they only cover the main Lincoln cemeteries).

Jane Annie married Frederick Raynor Humphries in Leicester in 1915.

Thanks very much.

Don't have Ancestry but found the details on FindMyPast using the year. Now to suggest an edit on the findagrave entry to link Harry to family back in Lincoln  ;D

This may be a link to Hilda. Her husband's death in 1983.

Thanks for those, when I guessed they moved out of county I wasn't banking they went that far away.

Following Jane Annie forwards it seems that she dropped her first name on documents as the 1939 register and 1988 death index record her simply as Annie. Date of birth is consistent throughout with her baptism record and son named Harry Raynor Humphries seems to confirm the details with his first and second names being family names.
