Marriage of daughter Nancy? could this be Anne with incorrect age?

Marriage for a Catherine with father also George Murphy- or was there more than one George Murphy in the same townland?

Hi thank you. Yes that's definitely another son John  I missed that also the son pat is George Murphy son as I know he was the only George Murphy and was from saula /saila this is great that you have found this information and very sad that the son pat tragically drowned so now I there are at least 6 children born and Mary was still alive after 1871

Catherine’s marriage was posted earlier so yes it is her.

I noticed this death earlier - too old for your George but perhaps father/uncle.

He is 80 yrs old in 1874.

Hi also
Think George Murphy father was also called George so I do think the death certificate was his in 1874 as it also says Mary Murphy was present on his death

February was the favourite month for Catholic weddings in rural Ireland.

There may have been more than one Mary Murphy in Saula at the time so impossible to be sure if the Mary informant for the 1874 death was the wife of George Murphy who died in 1902. It says that George was married so wife must have died after 1874.

Found another child of George Murphy & Mary Gallagher- Michael! Although his age at various times say he was born c1865 or so, I think he was actually born before 1864.

Found snippets of two articles about son Pat who drowned in 1886-
Irish Times, 10 Apr.1886: The bodies the two men Patton and Murphy, who were drowned yesterday [at?] Achill have not yet been found.

Dublin Daily Express, 12 Apr.1886: …  the treacherous … [sea?] engulfed Martin Patten, the owner of the boat, and his companion, a young man named Murphy; but, thanks to the gallantry of Mr Lockhart and his brave crew, the woman, an unmarried daughter of Pattern’s, was rescued …

Also, we already knew there was a son John (he appears in 1901 census) before his birth was found.

John was born 1874 so Mary's death must have been 1874 or later.
Pat's death may have been reported in a local newspaper.
