Alice NEWINGTON aka WOOD nee ? *COMPLETED*
« on: Sunday 06 June 21 14:28 BST (UK) »
Alice WOOD a widow from Chaunton & Thomas NEWINGTON of Bishopstone gent married by licence at Bishopstone 13 Jul 1629.

I cannot locate a "Chaunton" in Sussex although there is a Chawton in Hampshire. Is this where Alice originates?

I am hoping to find Alice's previous husband and hopefully her maiden name.

I realise this is very little on which to base a search however I have been going round in circles and decided to reach out in the hope of some assistance please. ::)

Apparently Chalvington in East Sussex used to be pronounced Chaunton.
