Yes, my man is the sheep stealer. Transported to NSW for 10 years.
Most of the information I have came from the documents from the Australian end.
The List Of Convicts on the Lord Lyndoch upon arrival in Sydney listed name, religion, age, married/single, native place, trade, offence, when and where tried, former convictions and physical features.
The ticket of Leave and Certificate of Freedom contained similar information.
I also made an inquiry with volunteers from
help@gfhs.org.uk. They were very helpful in supplying information similar to the above.
I have been in contact with the Gloucester Record Office and they put me onto the National Archives. All have been very helpful, however I have had little success in finding the actual trial papers.
It's the trial papers I am hoping to locate so I may be able to purchase and have them sent over.
