occupations of 1867 marriage certificate
« on: Thursday 17 June 21 16:35 BST (UK) »
Hello

The two attachments attached are the occupations of an 1867 marriage.  One looks like 'Hawker of ??? wares' and the other one could be 'washerwoman' but I am not sure.   I would appreciate a fresh pair of eyes.
anything and everything to do with the village of Brithdir, near New Tredegar in Gwent.

Unfortunately, if these are from the same certificate and written by the same person, the W of Wares looks nothing like the first letter of the bride's occupation  ???

Bev
Weedon - Hertfordshire and W. Australia
Herbertson, Congalton, Paterson - Scotland
Reed, Elmer - Hunts.
Branson - Bucks. and Birmingham
Warren, Ball, Jones - Birmingham
Fuller, Bourne, Sheepwash - Kent
Brittain - Beds. and W. Australia

re the difference in "W",    one is a capital and the other is not.
